Ngomong-ngomong soal iPhone..
Baru baca blognya Robert Scoble, menemukan beberapa komentar yang membuat saya garuk-garuk. Setelah puas memberi ruang pada emosi sesaat dan semalaman mengigau, “It’s 499/599 USD and will hit the Asian market in 2008” it’s probably the right time to balance the scale and fill my mind with some probable upcoming-unhappy-news 
Let’s see what Robert and the dudes on his commentbox are saying/suspecting/predicting about this cute thing:
- Battery life sucks
- Camera: no flash, no zoom
- Touchscreen slows your typing down
- The product will flop
- Learning from experience, don’t buy it immediately. Wait a couple of months, cause the first ones might will have serious defects
- And more to go, read for yourself..
Oke, kemungkinan besar saya ngga akan beli iPhone *elus-elus Walkman phone* But do I still want it? You bet! Besides, the colour matched my iPod :-” They’ll look cute together (yay! akhirnya nggak perlu nge-SMS kakek-kakek bawel pagi-pagi buta untuk menanyakan warna handset apa yang paling cocok untuk dibeli ) But despite of how the product will end up, saya setuju dengan Macnoto. - Battery life sucks
His Steve-ness announced that it has 5 hours talking time, which is considered good for a cellphone. He didn’t mention it’s standby time, though, which led to the speculation of below average battery life. But standby time with this gadget would vary with it’s wi-fi, bluetooth, wide touchscreen brightness, triple sensors, music+movie player capabilities, plus the processor to run OS X, widgets, and safari. and let’s not forget, it’s still expected to make prank phone calls to starbucks.
- Camera: no flash, no zoom
making calls IS the killer app with this product. so i’m expecting a phone, not a digicam. the iPod, 2MP camera and full internet capabilities make a nice extra, though. adding optical zoom and flash would make a bulkier form factor, which is not cool. if you need a digicam, get a digicam.
- Touchscreen slows your typing down
and so does keypad, which gets smaller and smaller. compare iPhone qwerty touchscreen keyboard with those of M600 which has 4 characters assigned in 1 small button(!).
- The product will flop
…or the product will rise.
- Learning from experience, don’t buy it immediately. Wait a couple of months, cause the first ones might will have serious defects.
true, but first ones are sometimes the most reliable. upgrades has more features, and bugs.
