So, Harrowdown Hill. What is Harrowdown Hill?
David Christopher Kelly adalah seorang pegawai di Departemen Pertahanan UK. Pukul 3, sore hari, Kelly pamit pada istrinya untuk pergi jalan-jalan di sekitar rumahnya, seperti biasa. Ia pergi ke daerah pepohonan, sekitar satu mil dari rumahnya. Tenpat itu bernama Harrowdown Hill. Ia menelan 29 butir co-proxamol, painkillers, kemudian mengiris pergelangan tangan kirinya dengan pisau. Kelly meninggal pada tanggal 17 Juli 2003.
Kelly adalah salah seorang penyelidik yang terlibat dalam investigasi mengenai keberadaan senjata pemusnah massal di Irak. Hutton Inquiries telah memberikan validasi bahwa Kelly pernah mengeluakan komentar berikut secara off the record pada London Observer mengenai laboratorium senjata bergerak yang ditemukan di Irak, “They are not mobile germ warfare laboratories. You could not use them for making biological weapons. They do not even look like them. They are exactly what the Iraqis said they were – facilities for the production of hydrogen gas to fill balloons.”Tidak ada senjata pemusnah massal di Irak.
Banyak teori mengenai kematian Kelly. Banyak yang berpikir bahwa kematian Kelly tidak disebabkan oleh bunuh diri. Thom Yorke menuliskannya dalam bentuk lagu dan berkomentar, “It’s the most angry song I’ve ever written in my life.“

“The two paramedics who were called to the scene of Kelly’s death, have since gone public with their view that there was not enough blood at the location to justify the belief that he died from blood loss. Bartlett and Hunt told The Guardian that they saw a small amount of blood on plants near Kelly’s body and a patch of blood the size of a coin on his trousers. They said they would expect to find several pints of blood at the scene of a suicide involving an arterial cut.”

It’s a great song. A haunting song. As if Kelly had told Thom what had happened himself, and made him creating a song out of it. Very good, Thom.

Akhirnya sampailah saya ke Simprug Gallery dalam keadaan kering. Tapi memang dasar apes, selesai beli tiket, hujan turun lagi.. – -; Ditungguin, ujannya nggak reda-reda, akhirnya memaksa diri untuk pulang daripada nunggu sampe lumutan. Eh, pas keluar dari situ, ujannya malah tambah deras – -; Terlanjur basah, pulang sekalian. Huhuhu.. Di jalan ujan deras. Dingin. Ngantuk. Tau begini, mending tadi mendamparkan diri di *.bucks dan pesen hot chocolate aja deh T-T Ya sudahlah, akhirnya sampai rumah juga. Hujan masih tetap turun. Dan beberapa menit setelah menginjakkan kaki kembali ke dalam rumah, hujannya berhenti dong. Sekarang malah jadi cerah. Siyal.. :-w
